Your Doctor
You will have a medical or surgical Physician in charge of your care and treatment during your stay.
If your Physician does not come to Concordia or you do not have a Physician, then a family Physician will be assigned to you for your hospital stay.
When you are discharged, your family Physician will carry on with your care. If you need help finding a Physician, you can contact:
- Family Doctor Hotline (for people who require a family physician) - (204) 786-7111.
- Health Calls (a physician that makes general house calls to limited areas of the City, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm). Call (204) 988-1900 for further information.
If you live in the NorthEast part of the City, and you do not have a Physician, you can call the Primary Care Desk at Access River East, 938-5050 and/or Access Transcona, 938-5700 to inquire if they are accepting new patients.
Please note: The Access Centres serve the community they are within, so you must be a resident of River East to utilize the services of Access River East. As well, you must be a resident of Transcona to utilize the services of Access Transcona.
